I wore boots every day for years — for work, for chores, for life. And every day came with the same cost: achy feet by midday, sore knees, a back that never fully recovered. The moment I walked in the door, the boots came off.
I accepted that for a long time. Figured it was just part of the deal.
It wasn't. The boot industry built around lasts that don't reflect the natural shape of a human foot. Narrow toe boxes force the toes together. Elevated heels tilt the whole body forward and put stress on knees and lower back all day long. The men who wear boots the hardest pay the highest price — and most of them have been told it's just aging.
It isn't aging. It's the boots.
The running world had figured it out. Wide toe boxes. Zero-drop soles. Footwear built around the natural shape of a human foot. But every option was aimed at the gym or the coffee shop. Nothing was built for the job site, the ranch, or a full day of real work.
A western work boot with a wide toe box and a zero-drop sole — that boot didn't exist. So we built it. Two years of prototyping, testing, and refining until we got it right.
We started in Decatur, Texas — a real western town, thirty minutes north of Fort Worth, home to working cowboys, professional riders, and brands built around the western trade. That's where the Decatur boot got its name.
The brand lives now in Colorado. Two western states. That's where the name Texarado comes from — and it says everything about what we're building: rooted in western heritage, built for the way people actually live and work.
The Decatur is the only pull-on western work boot built around the natural shape of a human foot. Wide anatomical toe box. Zero-drop sole. 360° stitchdown construction. Full-grain leather that molds to your foot and can be resoled when the time comes.
The Bailey is our 6-inch lace-up — American bison leather, same construction philosophy, same commitment to honest materials.
No fake components. No narrow toe box. Nothing that quits before you do.
You've waited long enough.
