Our journey began in 2023 in Decatur, Texas. If you don't know Decatur—it's western.
A small, old western town 30 minutes north of Ft. Worth. Still full of working cowboys, thanks in large to the iconic Waggoner Ranch. It's home to brands like National Ropers Supply and Twisted X, while being a popular rodeo destination, with many professional riders living in the area.
For years, we've been wearing minimalist footwear, largely due to the wide toe box and zero heel-to-toe drop. But we couldn't find a high-quality boot option with the protection and durability of a real boot. We wanted a timeless, rugged style that not only looked good but that you could work in. And it needed to be designed around a natural foot shape.
We spent over two years making boots, prototyping, and refining our design. Eventually, we arrived at a design we were satisfied with. During this time, we moved to Bailey, Colorado—a small mountain town 40 minutes west of Denver. And there, our name Texarado was born—born in Texas, grown in Colorado.
Western roots that we intend to honor with our developing brand.
Our boots draw inspiration from the rugged, untamed spirit of Texas, where grit and determination are part of daily life. Texas represents resilience, independence, and a no-nonsense attitude. Whether it's the vast open landscapes or the hardworking people, Texas serves as the foundation for our commitment to durability and performance.
Colorado's culture of natural lifestyle and outdoor exploration drives our innovative approach of creating boots that are functional with respect to performance, and to the human body. Our focus on combining this functionality with classic style ensures our boots are built to handle everything from city streets to mountain trails.
We create boots for human feet. That means that our boots are designed to be more anatomical and less restrictive.
We are committed to using quality materials and professional craftsmanship to provide long-lasting, durable wide-toe boots.
